LAHighAlumni.com has been designed as a communication website for all Los Angeles High School Alumni. The purpose of the site is for each alumni class to have a repository for their classmate’s information and memorabilia. There is a calendar to post events like upcoming activities, reunions and special events. There is a forum for posting messages, and the members section for sending emails to your classmates and viewing their "All About Me". A gallery is included for class yearbook photos, class reunion photos and individual family albums.  You may create your personal Blog (web log) or enjoy the Alumni Chat Room to communicate with your friends and classmates.  You must "Sign In" to take advantage of these features.

Please take the time to select all menu choices and see what is available to you.  We hope that each class will participate and find this useful to keep in touch with friends and acquaintances from our high school years.

Hal's Corner: Alumni Magazine Coming Soon

HAIL ROMANS:  We expect to mail out our first full color Los Angeles High School alumni magazine during the first quarter of 2010.  It will not be just a newsletter, but a full color professional magazine.  Initially, we plan to issue two magazines per year.  Eventually, we plan to issue three per year.

The alumni magazine title is "Blue and White Forever".  Our plan is to mail the very first issue to all registered Roman alumni.  We are working feverishly to update our master alumni association database so that we can get our magazine out to as many alumni as possible.  We are fortunate to have Alan Bell, a professional publisher on our team and donating his talent to this effort.  Alan is an L.A. High Alumnus.

Sections of the magazine will include "Reconnecting", "Roman Reminiscences", "Roman Ramblings"; articles by and about alumni, some current happenings at the school, such as sports, academic decathlon, the magnet division, and leadership classes at the school.

We encourage you to write articles for the magazine.  We really want your participation.  If possible, please provide relevant high-resolution photos with the article. The photos should be on the subject matter or of you as the author.  Your fresh ideas and input will be greatly appreciated.

IMPORTANT:  This website has been recently updated to accept your current address and phone number.  So that you receive your very first Blue and White Forever alumni magazine, you must "Sign In" to the website and provide your address and phone number.  This data is kept private and is secure using the latest industry standards.  Don’t delay!  Update your Profile information now.

White Coat Fever

"...It was 1960 in Los Angeles.  There was a Gestapo police chief & the black folks living east of La Brea were still called Negroes.   For 17 year old September Jackson, coal black in color, newly developed breasts and a crown of pressed hair, nothing was more important than her upcoming Cotillion...to her mother, nothing was more important than 'the list' she made to ensure the right boy stood next to her daughter on that day.  But the right boy turned out to..."
